Are they, though? Not really! There are plenty of options for REM Pods that are on the cheaper side and can be just as useful. The bright lights are easy to see in the dark if they’re activated, and the toy types are useful for attracting more childlike entities.
We find the best way to use these is to take a moment to explain what they are and how they work, then invite the spirit to play with them. Give it time… most locations have older spirits. Our “newfangled” tools are intriguing, but might be scary to them and it can take a bit for them to warm up and come closer.
These motion-activated cat toys are what we currently use. They’re cheap, portable, and it takes a good nudge for them to go off. Vibration of our own footsteps doesn’t do it. We had a good response from a child spirit in Hill View Manor with these. Unfortunately, we didn’t follow our own advice and didn’t have a camera on them at the time. Five people to verify, but no photo/video evidence. Argh!
If you want to go a step higher, you can invest in a Boo Bear, which has motion-activated triggers in various points on its body. This is another great option for attracting child spirits with REM Pods that are more toy-like. These can be very expensive, just as much as the actual Pods, but you can find cheaper options. Here’s one, and this is another, though most of the second listing’s options are currently sold out right now.
If you’d prefer something closer to the professional REM Pods, this one is a cheaper option. It only flashes and stays on quickly if there is an EMF disturbance, but it would be enough to be noticeable, as it runs off of bright LED lights. You can also get a six pack to blanket the area you’re working in.
