The Tools- Electronic Needs

During hunts, you have some items that require batteries, and some that charge via USB. One frequent issue is battery drain. Backups are necessary.

For USB items like phones, some headlamps, portable chargers, rechargable batteries, and tools, we prefer a USB Hub. This 6 Port Charging Station lets you charge up to 6 USB items on one outlet. It’s a great time and space saver, especially when you have a bunch of items to rotate through.

To help with battery drain, we have a bunch of portable phone chargers. This one is a favorite because it’s incredibly small, so it fits into a pocket. If you have a Five Below near you, they also have one the same size in stores for $5.25, a huge savings, and worth a drive over to your nearest retail stop. We like to keep a few on hand, because you never know which device is going to drain, or how much extra power you’ll need, especially if taking video as well as photos.

Lastly, batteries. Our camera, flashlights, and headlamps all use batteries. With so many items that can drain fast, we like to have quite a few extras. The best price we’ve found for a decent quality is Amazon Basic High Performance line. We buy both the AA and the AAA packs, and keep those on hand.

With these options at your disposal, you should never run out of power for your supplies during a hunt, as you’ll have covered most everything that could possibly need an extra power source. It always pays to be prepared.
