Why “WHOA”?
So, basically the patriarch of the family thinks he’s hilarious. Unfortunately, he usually is. We asked for help coming up with a name, and he thought for maybe 3 minutes and spit out “WHOA”- Women Hunting Otherworldly Activities. We laughed, thought it was great. Everyone we talked to thought it was great as well. For the men on the team, they can use “We Hunt Otherworldly Activities”, so it fits for everyone!
Do you only do hunts in the Great Lakes region?
Right now, we’re focusing on places that are within a day’s drive. As most of us live in Ohio, that means within 1-5 hours from Northwest Ohio. Eventually, we plan to branch out and start adding trips further away, but those are definitely going to be future events.
Can I do a hunt with you?
Once we start booking private tours, we will post them on the website, along with a form to fill out. Current WHOA members get first dibs, and then forms will be sorted on a first come, first served basis. Your spot is NOT reserved until it is fully paid for. All details will be in the form for each event.
If I do a hunt, do you provide transportation and equipment?
Short answer? It depends. Long answer- if you are in the area near one of our members and there is space in the vehicle, they may opt to carpool to save on gas money. Details can be arranged between members. We do have equipment units, but depending on how many current members are going, we may or may not have extras to lend out. We always advise slowly purchasing your own kit if you’re interested in this as a hobby, that way you never have to rely on someone else’s equipment.
I have another question…
Please feel free to fill out the contact form below, and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!
